eLife Adventure is a community nonprofit activity network providing people opportunities to develop quality friendships based on common interest and mutual respect. People from our entire community are invited to participate in activities that they enjoy and meet others with similar interests. eLife activities are unique to a place in time and to the people who attend. Each activity creates an original flare and enthusiasm which will never be repeated. The more activities you attend, the more life experiences you will enjoy.
"My eLife Calendar" is your personal activity calendar that displays all the eLife activity titles that are age appropriate for your participation. Each activity is hosted by two eLife Activity Hosts. If you are interested in the activity, you click on the title and the activity details will display. If you choose to participate, you add the activity to your shopping cart. When you are done activity shopping, you reserve your spot for each activity by following the easy check-out process.
If your schedule changes and you need to cancel your participation, just follow the simple "Cancel my Booking" procedures.
The success of eLife is rooted in the excitement of our eLife Activity Hosts. They are community volunteers who share their interests with others. They are committed to creating an inviting, comfortable and exciting activity environment for all eLife guests regardless of cultural background, religion or marital status. They are professional community volunteers who have completed an extensive application, interview and training process, including personal references, a nation-wide background check, and sexual harassment training. What is the cost to set up an eLife guest account?
There is no cost or membership fee to create an eLife guest account. Just sign up. eLife Adventure is a community nonprofit organization supported by our guests. If you choose to support eLife Adventure financially, you will have the opportunity to donate in the future.
Do eLife activities cost money?
Many eLife activities are free or have a small administration fee. Click here to view fee explanations. Some activities will have costs for participation, such as a theater play, golf lessons or food. These activity costs will be displayed on the activity profile so you can decide if the activity fits into your budget.
What is an eLife Name Tag?
The eLife Name Tag is required for all eLife guests so that our Activity Hosts can quickly and correctly sign in all guests. This confirms and validates the eLife Waiver and Release Agreement. Click here for complete eLife Name Tag description.
eLife has partnered with Paypal, which has the safety, security and stability of over 100 million accounts. You can process a transaction with a current credit card or use an exiting Paypal account. eLife Activity Hosts determine the cost (if any) for their activities. For some activities, you may see the following fees:
Activity Cost: Money reimbursed to the Activity Host for activity expenses such as pre-paid tickets, food purchased in advance of the event, etc.
Activity Admin Fee: A reservation fee may be set by the Activity Host to confirm your spot. Admin Fees are only charged to adult guests (no charge to children 17 years or younger). The Admin Fees support the local eLife Chapter. Click here to see where those fees are allocated.
Processing Charge: Paypal charges transaction fees which you will see as you go through the check out process. There is a "per transaction" fee (.35) as well as a percentage fee, so it pays to book multiple events at once.
Refund Policy: The eLife guest activity cost and activity admin fee are nonrefundable and nontransferable unless the event is cancelled by eLife. If an event is cancelled by eLife, your "activity cost" and "activity admin fee" will be refunded within 14 days of cancellation.
My Financial Details: You can refer to this section under your "My Dashboard" to verify all eLife transactions. Each eLife transaction has an invoice number that will correspond to your Paypal and credit card records.
As you log-onto the eLife site the first of each month, a chapter financial summary is displayed which includes online donation and administration fee revenue totals and the budgeted expenses for that month. With a quick review, each eLife guest knows the financial strength of their Chapter. As your participation with eLife grows, we trust that your excitement for your eLife chapter will encourage you to become a monthly donor with a gift of $6 or more.
The conversations started in the fall of 2001 between three friends enjoying dinner one evening on an outside patio. "How can adults connect in today’s culture and build lasting friendships founded on spiritual truths and ethical life principles"?
That question triggered many discussions, crazy ideas and a lot of debate that over the next two months would lay the foundation for the eLife vision. As the eLife vision began to take form, the three friends started sharing the vision with acquaintances, colleagues and family for validation. The feedback from these informal meetings was incorporated into the concept we now call eLife.
As the weeks passed, a clear and specific business plan began to take shape. By January of 2002, over two hundred adults had viewed the eLife vision and concept. On average, each adult that viewed the concept committed to an $85 investment pledge. The direction became very clear. Move forward with development of the concept and see the vision shine.
